Party

This is one of four similar paintings in a series I call "Under the Surface". In each painting, I started with some wild colors and strokes and splatters in acrylic. Then I mostly covered the first layer with abstract shapes in oil, with the interrelationships of the colors and forms as the main event. Still, underneath, there's something else going on - like ourselves with our inner and outer selves as we go through life. This particular painting has a party vibe to it; hence, its name.
